Established in 1993, Town & Country Health Services & Supplies, Inc. was founded by Carol B. Norman, R.N., and her mother, Jean Baltz, bringing home health care to the Hanover County area.  Ashland was Carol's hometown. She wanted to offer quality home health care, products and services to her community.

Carol graduated from Richmond Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1979.  She worked at the hospital until 1981, then became employed by Elizabeth Crump Manor, in Glen Allen, Virginia, until 1987.  Her first position in home health  was with Beverly HomeCare, Inc.  She quickly knew home health was her passion.  In 1989 she and her mother decided it was time to start their business, but early in the process a family tradgedy changed their direction briefly.

In January of  1993, Carol knew it was time to start again.  By the end of April the business was licensed by the State and in July the Agency was Certified by Medicare to provide home health care.  Several location changes later, the business operates from The Village Green, in Montpelier, Virginia, near her home in Beaverdam.

Carol is personally active in all aspects of her business. She makes home nursing visits on a daily basis, delivers supplies and equipment  and is a Certified Mastectomy Fitter as well as a fitter for Diabetic/Therapeutic shoes.  She prefers doing all of the patient care admissions so she can personally assess the patient's needs.  She gets to know her patients and they know her.  She is on call 24/7.  When a patient has a problem and calls the office after hours they know with whom they are speaking and she has first hand knowledge about the patient and their concerns.  She can best advise them because she is familiar with their situation.  Personal service is very important to all of the employees of Town & Country.  This is what sets us apart from the rest!
